Three new Parklets give more space for people in Minneapolis to enjoy the city on foot. Minneapolis is experimenting with a temporary expansion of sidewalks called Parklets. As part of the pilot program, three Parklets have been installed in different parts of Minneapolis, giving extra places for the public to stop, relax, and enjoy the city. They will be removed at the end of October and will return in the spring. See time-lapse video below of a Parklet being assembled in the North Loop. The locations of the pilot program Parklets are:
- 2007 Emerson Ave N.
